[Tammy's not sure how many people might have witnessed the rather embarrassing display with Bartimaeus a while ago, but hopefully no one remembers it, if they did see it. And she's also hoping no one asks what exactly she was looking to accomplish with the djinn. Suffice to say that the outcome was not what she was looking for, and she's been working on moving on ever since.

And she's been occupying herself since then. Hence her cracking open her journal today.]

Hey Rapunzel. I've got a couple of things we might be able to use. But I'm not sure...

Anyone got a line on where I can get a small amount of wood?

A couple of nails of varying size and a hammer.

[Don't ask her where she found them, because she honestly couldn't say.]

Have you checked the forest or beach?

Wonderful! Maybe we can get some wood from near the bonfire?

I'd passed it but I wasn't sure if it was free for us to take or not. But I guess they wouldn't miss what we'd take; we won't need much.

...though no, I actually haven't. I tend to avoid the forest. Think the beach would have much to work with?

There could be some driftwood on the sand.

[Tammy's less burdened than she usually is when she's out on the grounds; no backpack, with just her journal tucked under her arm. She's staring at the bonfire with a thoughtful tilt to her head, looking to see if she can spot any good pieces of wood.]

Driftwood? Mm. Is that stuff hard to work with?

[She scampers up next to Tammy, all smiles and ready to start working.]

See anything good?

It could be a bit brittle or splinter or fine, depending on the piece.

[Tammy jumps a bit as Rapunzel runs up but smiles at the other girl, clearly not bothered by being caught off guard.]

There's a couple of pieces that look like they could be promising. Might not require too much cutting, which is good since I still haven't found a saw.

[Here she motions to a couple of nearby pieces, all roughly the same size and shape and relatively flat.]

I've had some experience with it.

[Oh innuendo, but really carpentry was an old hobby before killing took over.]

[She looks over them, tapping her fingertip to her chin.]

Know anyone with a saw? [She smiles, and rocks on her feet.] I mean, one of the staff might be able to help us!
